Helen and Hannah spot a fierce dog chasing rabbits in the nearby woods. Hannah and Helen’s neighbour, Mrs Higham, has a new puppy. But she keeps it shut away behind a high wire fence and, when the twins pass the house, they hear the lonely pup crying.
