ill while Laura is away at school. Her parents don’t
want to worry her, but the twins let the news slip. In a
panic, Laura runs away from school, then Sultan takes a
turn for the worse. Will the patient live? Can Helen and
Hannah find Laura in time?

the Substitute
Helen and Hannah look after Sage, the school rabbit, during
the holidays. But he gives them the slip. When their teacher,
Miss Wesley, plans a visit to Home Farm, the twins borrow
Sorrel, and identical rabbit, to fool her. Will the trick
work? And can the twins find Sage before he comes to harm?

When their dad is involved in a car accident, the twins
are glad he’s not hurt. But the trailer he hit was
carrying a prize highland cow and her calf – and the
young calf is injured. Will the angry owner sue Mr Moore?

calf off his hands?

Two squirrels invade the loft of the local shop and cause
a row in Doveton. Should they be left alone or got rid of?
When small items vanish from the shop, it seems as though
the squirrels’ days are numbered. But Hannah and Helen
suspect that someone or something else is behind the thefts
– and they plan to investigate!

15:Sophie the Show-Off
Sophie’s a rescue cat with a habit of showing off
– and it’s causing her all sorts if problems!
Parading by the lake in front of tourists, she slips off
the ferry rail; stalking doves on the shop roof, she nearly
takes a tumble. Luckily the twins are on hand to help. But
now Sophie plans to put in an appearance at the local cricket
match! Can Helen and Hannah stop her?

Silky the Foundling
Helen and Hannah spot a fierce dog chasing rabbits in the
nearby woods. Speckle chases the mongrel away – but
not in time to save the mother rabbit dying from shock,
leaving her baby bunny the sole survivor, alone and in danger
of attack. The twins know they shouldn’t touch wildlife,
but this baby is unlikely to last the night without their
help…

Scott the Braveheart
At the end of their holiday in Scotland, Helen and Hannah
spot a Shetland pony tethered by the side of the road and,
nearby, a motherless foal. When the twins approach the pony
breaks free. But the foal is too weak to follow. Staying
by his side the loyal pony allows himself to be rounded
up. Now the twins must win his trust.

Spot the Prisoner
Hannah and Helen’s neighbour, Mrs Higham, has a new
puppy. But she keeps it shut away behind a high wire fence
and, when the twins pass the house, they hear the lonely
pup crying. When they go back the next day, they find the
puppy running loose. There’s no sign of his owner
and no reply from the house. Could Mrs Higham have deserted
her pup?

Shelley the Shadow
Shellley is the smallest duckling in her family. She’s
always last in line and struggling to keep up – so,
when her mother and siblings flee from a hungry fox, Shelley’s
soon left behind. Helen and Hannah save the little duckling
and take her back to Home Farm. But now Shelley has latched
onto the twins and follows them everywhere. Will they ever
reunite her with her family?

A thoroughbred foal is born at a livery stable near Doveton
– surprising everyone with her early arrival! Hannah
and Helen only just get there in time to watch. Now she
needs special care, and the twins are willing volunteers.
Left in charge while her owner is away, Star springs another
surprise in them by disappearing. Has she run away or is
it theft?
